Ganesh Chaturdhi Celebrations came to end and all Ganesh Idols was immersed in the water.Among all Khairathabad Ganesh Idol is the one which got recognised for all its charm.
Eveyyear the organizers used to distribute the Laddu and this year all the devottes has missed the chance to taste the iconic Laddu.
Polisetty Mallibabu, owner of Suruchi Foods and 15 others designed the ‘Maha laddu’ in their home-cum-factory at Tapeswaram .The laddu weighing 4200 kgs and makers has spent 12 lakhs to prepare the Maha Laddu
Ingredients include 150 kg of cashew nuts, badam (80 kg), yellow camphor (20 kg), cardamom (20 kg), Bengal gram (850 kg), ghee (750 kg) and 1,600 kilos of sugar.Special cranes has been used to place laddoo in the hand of Ganesh idol.
This time the Maha Laddoo was not offered to the devotees as it turned to bad.And along with the ganesh idol the laddu also immersed into Hussain Sagar.The organizers say they got the laddu tested and turns out it had gotten spoilt over the 10 days of the festival and if distributed it could affect the health of people eating it.
This is the first time in the history of the Khairatabad Ganesh that the ‘’prasadam’’ has turned bad and had to be disposed into the lake.
