Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the petite actress is a leading star today. She has charmed both the male and female audiences with her cute looks and husky voice. But till 2012, she only got to play the glam doll opposite some big stars in the Telugu industry. Dookudu was one such example.
But with films such as Neethane En Ponvasantham and Eega, she proved her acting prowess. They turned her fortunes around and she managed to make her audience sit up and take notice of her acting skills. Now, she has got formal recognition in the form of Filmfare award. Samantha has been adjudged the Best Female Actress, both in Tamil and Telugu.
She repeats history after 21 years. It’s been 21 years since the same actress has won the Best Actress honours in both Tamil and Telugu.
Samantha’s good friend tweeted this trivia on his micro blogging site. And Samantha promptly replied saying she was elated and that she missed him badly at the Awards nite.
What can we say, she deserves every bit of her fame and success. We are looking forward to her Surya-Linguswamy biggie in Tamil and Attarintiki Daaredi in Telugu.
